The Wharfedale EVO 5.3 floorstanding speakers take audiophile performance to a new level in their price range. These slim floorstanders combine elegant design with advanced technologies, such as the renowned Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter. This special driver delivers a clear, accurate reproduction of high tones, without sharpness, with detail.
The midrange also gets some extra attention thanks to Resoseal™ technology, which uses a subtle elastomer ring to minimise unwanted resonances and make vocals sound more natural. The new ResoFrame™ construction, visible in the front panel of each driver, further contributes to a smoother, more controlled sound. Together with Silentweave™ sound absorption on the inside, it all adds up to a listening experience that’s refined and immersive.
Underneath, Wharfedale’s new SLPP bass port delivers deep, controlled bass reproduction. This three-dimensional slot construction reduces air resistance and turbulence, keeping the lows tight and seamlessly connected to the mids and highs. The hybrid plinth, combining wood and metal, also improves cabinet stability and prevents unwanted vibrations. The result is a speaker that’s balanced in every respect: power and finesse, precision and emotion.
