About subwoofers
De SW series of subwoofers offers a level of performance previously unheard of in its class. Revolutionary drive units, amplifier modules and filter stages are featured on every model. The new SW subwoofer series comes with a host of new features. They now come with Non-pressed paper cones for more self-damping, improved transitional impact and internally increased the structural stiffness of the cone itself. The center vents are copper-clad to reduce magnetic distortion and improve heat dissipation.
Still using the solid, well-designed power amplifiers, the SW subwoofers are optimized for high impact at low frequencies and are ideal for movies or music. Here the subwoofers can be linked to other speakers. Take a look at the range where you can find the brand new speakers of the new EVO4 series can view.

Why a subwoofer?
The addition of a subwoofer adds weight and authority to any stereo system, extending the frequency response far beyond conventional bass drivers. Of Wharfedale subwoofer the built-in amplifiers are designed to provide a powerful response to these frequencies, while a continuously variable crossover ensures seamless integration with the other speakers in the system. Here you can think of various floorstanding speakers or the very neat bookshelf speakers. All models offer a phase adjustment for additional tuning of the sound.
In a multi-channel system, a subwoofer is recommended to handle the 'LFE' or low-frequency channel of Dolby Digital or DTS sound. The PowerCube provides the impact and dynamism to really bring the soundtrack to life.
