Most important in the design criteria for the Diamond 200 is the continuous research into the sound quality of the loudspeaker drivers. The speaker range uses Wharfedale's woven Kevlar cone shape, taking advantage of the flagship Jade Series influence.

While, among other things, the internal crossover is tightened and stronger magnets are used on the rear of the Diamond 220, the aesthetics and construction have also been improved. The Diamond 200 Series features an all-new lacquered front panel and cosmetically improved veneer.

Only when the acoustic tests are deemed truly satisfactory do the loudspeaker designs sign off for production, ensuring that each loudspeaker model fulfills the dreams of its ultimate owner.
