The Wharfedale Super Linton represents a significant milestone in Wharfedale innovation and is a striking addition to the world-renowned Heritage range. Led by Peter Comeau, Wharfedale engineers have comprehensively rethought every aspect of the loudspeaker’s design, including the cabinet, drive units and crossover, to create the updated Super Linton that now delivers an even more impressive sonic performance.
The Super Linton is a 3-way loudspeaker that makes the most of its wide baffle. This loudspeaker is equipped with a large woofer with a diameter of 200 mm, made of black woven Kevlar. Above the woofer is a midrange driver of 135 mm, also with a cone of black woven Kevlar, which is placed in its own internal housing to minimize resonance.
To perfectly reproduce the high frequencies, the Super Linton is equipped with a 25 mm fabric dome tweeter with a high-quality ferrite magnet. This ensures sparkling and detailed highs that take the listening experience to the next level. The speaker uses a split-PCB crossover design, which connects the different drivers and prevents electromagnetic interference. This innovative design makes the Super Linton not only a technical masterpiece, but also a beautiful piece of audio engineering that every music lover will appreciate.
