Introduced in 1965 as a ground-breaking loudspeaker, the Wharfedale Linton is now back in a refreshed version, offering improved performance while retaining its signature sound quality.
This 3-way bookshelf speaker features a 200mm Kevlar woofer, a 135mm Kevlar midrange driver and a 25mm fabric dome tweeter. This provides a balanced, detailed sound with smooth transitions. The Linton performs best when the tweeters are positioned at ear height of a seated listener, for which Wharfedale has developed matching stands. These also provide space for vinyl records.
For a perfect match, the Leak Stereo 230 is the ideal amplifier. With 115W per channel, HDMI ARC and analogue/digital inputs, it is suitable for both modern and classic audio sources. A built-in MM phono preamp allows direct connection of a turntable.
The Leak CDT offers high-quality CD playback and supports USB storage. An advanced transport system and slot-loading mechanism ensure smooth operation, while a shielded enclosure and temperature-compensated crystal oscillator minimize digital distortion for precise sound reproduction.
